What could I pay beyond the headline evaluation fee?

Count charged purchases, renewals, paid resets and activation separately. Time spent trying to pass is not itself a reliable invoice count.

A one-time-fee example

An original hypothetical purchase costs $150. Two paid resets cost $75 each, and activation costs $0. Selected program fees are $150 + 2 × $75 = $300. This excludes taxes, trading commissions and any unselected platform or data service.

A subscription example

A different hypothetical path charges $49 initially, two additional $49 renewals and $149 after passing. Selected fees are $49 + $98 + $149 = $296. That is an explicit invoice scenario, not a forecast of how quickly someone will pass. Different counts can reverse the comparison.

Reset and renewal are not synonyms

A reset can be separately paid, included as a credit, or linked to billing timing. Topstep’s subscription documentation describes recurring billing, rebill credits and continued billing after a failed evaluation unless the relevant stop condition occurs. Check the specific subscription rather than assuming a rule breach cancels invoices.

Keep unknown and conditional costs visible

Leave an unverified selected fee blank: the result should be incomplete, rather than free. A conditional refund stays separate from upfront charges until its conditions are met. Read official checkout and cancellation terms for the exact version you intend to buy.
